Well, since Netscape 4 is finally out, I guess I'll remove the "Netscape 3.0 Now!" button from this page. I haven't tried Netscape 4 yet, and I'm not sure how soon I will (slow modem, big download).

I don't always agree with Jon Katz, but he makes some excellent points. Aren't we all just about sick of magazines and newspapers publishing scare stories about the net? Anyway, this Media Rant is worth a read. And here's one about the recently struck down (whoop!) CDA.

Here's a cool Win95 animated cursor done by a friend on IRC. (thanks Erin) It's a window with snow falling. Makes a cool alternative to the hourglass.

Just read some new articles on QuakeWeek. Some great stuff. Talk about satire...

I finally got around to making a banner for the Link Exchange.

Click here to visit Brennen's Home Page - Because it's there.

As you can see, I suck at making banners. Not even a single cute little icon or anything.

I'm back. I know, you're thrilled.

I just finished Destiny's Road, by Larry Niven. It's a good book, and since for once I wasn't too cheap to wait for it to come out in paperback, I thought I'd write a short review.

I went to The Lost World last week. It sucks. The only thing that saves this movie from being a total failure is the special effects. I mean, I wasn't a big fan of the book, but it looks good by comparison. Why do movies like this have to make so much money?

Check out Giana Quake. This looks like one of the coolest TC's yet. It's based on an old Commodore 64 game that was basically a clone of Mario Brothers, but (and I have played it, thanks to an emulator) actually played better.

Well, I may be gone for the next couple of weeks, which means that this page might not get updated. It's a good thing I don't have a regular readership to disapoint. :)

Saw on both Blue's News and The Quake 2 Channel that more Quake 2 screenshots have been released. Here's my personal favorite.

Sooner or later, I'll get more links to Quake 2 and other Quake engine game pages up.

Check out Daemonsong, a new SF web drama. I know some of the people who're working on this from IRC, and my guess is that it will kick ass.

When is GeoCities going to start allowing .chat files, anyway? I e-mailed them about it months ago, but still no response... Guess it's time to try again. In case you don't know, a .chat file is a file that allows you to provide a link from a web page to an IRC server. It's supported by mIRC, Global Chat (ick), Netscape Chat (or whatever they call it), and many other clients.

Not much has really changed today, I just forgot to upload the last changes I made.

There are some great animated .gif's on id's Quake 2 page. Methinks I need a new computer. (So I can play Quake 2, of course.)

Trader is getting much closer to finished. I should have had it done a long time ago, but I haven't been working on it much. The copy that's up here on the page is rather outdated, but I don't think I'll upload another until it's done, or close to it.

Has anybody else noticed how annoying the sounds that come with ICQ are? Oh, and a bit of advice. Never let anybody you find annoying on IRC have your ICQ number. It will come back to haunt you.

I need to work on this page more. It being summer, and me not having a job, I should have plenty of time. Maybe I should make it a goal to come up with some content and actually make daily updates...

Check out mynx.com, the home page of Mynx, who does the Dear Mynx column on PlanetQuake. (Abby is doomed...)

I changed the look of my links page. Hope this makes it a little easier to read. If not, it won't matter, because nobody ever reads it anyway. :)

After hearing good things about it for quite a while, I finally downloaded ICQ. It seems like a pretty cool program (although I doubt I'll pay for it when/if they start charging). On the off chance that I'm online right at the moment, you should be able to page me by clicking here.
