notes on two novels which have been messing with my head since i read them

Prague:

#1: I hate these people.

#2: I have been a lot like some of them, and spent too much time in similar states of awe and confusion regarding people like the others.

#3: #2 is most of #1.

Accelerando:

I sometimes have the feeling that we (where "we" is h. sapiens) are walking a line between two thoroughly apocalyptic outcomes. On one side is the collapse of our technology under the weight of its consequences. On the other is its total ascendence.
