WareLogging; a Microsoft BASIC interpreter and IntegratedDevelopmentEnvironment for DOS.
There were actually (at least) two important variants on QuickBasic - QBasic, the IDE/interpreter that came free with DOS, and QuickBasic 4.5, a slightly more robust version that was capable of producing compiled executables.
<Brennen> According to some, QB is a member of ThingsWhichSuck. Heaping abuse on BASIC was practically a professional requirement for academic computer scientists for decades. On the other hand, it's pretty much the only IDE I've ever liked, and for years it was the only readily available language/interpreter that I was aware of on the DOS / Windows 3.x PCs I was stuck with as a kid.
