- W :: Write something.
- WacomTablet :: WareLogging

- WebFrameworks :: <Brennen> WareLogging. Needing to write a simple web app in fairly short order, not wanting to jump through the usual hoops.
- WebScraping :: <Brennen> WareLogging: First thought on writing a decent web-scraping script: If you're working with a known set of files, the first thing to do is cache them locally before you even think about processing them. Broadband or no, local storage is so much faster that you're going to save time unless you get it right on the first try - and how likely is that? Also, a server administrator somewhere is going to be a lot happier with you than if you download the same batch of a thousand files about 15 times. Even if you're going to spider through them looking for other files to add to the set, it ''might'' be a good idea to separate that logic from other processing, so that you can avoid loading them from a server more than once while you hammer things into shape.
- WeedSongs :: <Brennen> It's not that I consume all that much marijuana, but I figure these are a key component of RequiredMusic regardless of your stoner status. For a rough definition, this should be a list of songs that are actually ''about weed'' in a sense more specific than the one implied by "man, have you ever listened to ''x'' stoned?", but also inclusive of songs that might only mention weed in passing, if they seem to fit.
- WeezerMusic :: RequiredMusic.
- WeirdPostArchive :: This wiki sees a certain amount of strange input. Here is some of it.
- WelcomeToTheMachine :: BookLogging. DerrickJensen and GeorgeDraffan. Ok, also a PinkFloyd track.

- Who cares :: who cares?
- WholeEarthCatalog :: See the Wikipedia entry. Also, Meatball Wiki: Whole Earth Catalog.
- Why not ::
- Why the collaborative fiction experiment failed :: Brennen writes that the collaborative fiction experiment failed because "for me (this) will probably go under just not feeling it."
- Why wiki works :: <Brennen> This page is very old and reflects my thinking before I had used wiki much. It is here as an archival object. That said, I still agree with most of the intent.
- WichitaKansas :: PlaceLogging. Not so far from WinfieldKansas.
- WikiEditCollisions :: WareLogging, IdeaLogging
- WikiEngines :: WareLogging.
- WikiSpam :: See: WikiSpamming
- WikiSpamExamples :: <Brennen> Take a look at these diffs:

- WinfieldCityLake :: PlaceLogging, near WinfieldKansas.
- WinfieldKansas :: PlaceLogging, WalnutValleyFestival, RequiredMusic, BluegrassMusic.
- WireBound :: Apparently, there are at least two major kinds of wire binding in use for notebooks & printed matter these days. Spiral binding is what you remember from cheap 80 page notebooks in highschool and those little flip-top notepads. Double loop binding still uses a single piece of wire, but uses it to form something like doubled "teeth" which pass through the holes in the paper. It's a bit tricky to describe, but you might have seen this on higher-end sketchbooks or calendars.

- WoodyGuthrie :: RequiredMusic.
- WordNet :: WareLogging, IdeaLogging, TrackingAcademics.
- WordPress :: <Brennen> WareLogging. A PHP weblog app. Very decent from a user perspective, so long as you're willing to use someone else's theme. Customizing it is like pushing rope.
- Work :: IdeaLogging about same.
- WorkInProgress :: A tag for pages and entries to return to.
- WorldWar :: IdeaLogging. HistoryOf.
- WorldWarOne :: HistoryOf
- WorldWind :: WareLogging, MappingStuff. NASA project. 3D globe, similar to GoogleEarth, open source. Windows-only, last Brennen checked, and ran like crap on a 5 year old PC. Still an interesting effort.
- WorldsApart :: RequiredMusic. A 2005 album by AndYouWillKnowUsByTheTrailOfDead.
- WormBase :: www.wormbase.org/
- WorseIsBetter :: <Brennen> IdeaLogging. JWZ, Worse is Better: "The good news is that in 1995 we will have a good operating system and programming language; the bad news is that they will be Unix and C++."
- WorstPossibleThing :: A recurring pattern in what the staff at cushy private mental health facities refer to as "life choices".
- WoundedKneeSouthDakota :: PlaceLogging
- Writing :: <Brennen> IdeaLogging. You could see also TrackingWriters.
- WritingAdvice :: <Brennen> IdeaLogging, perhaps. This stuff is everywhere. Most of it is probably shit. Anyway...
