a place is a relation
to the possibility of motion
to things like power
and water

in this place, the hummingbird is vying
for a mate and dives endless loops
screeeeling through the sky

and so for a while the nearness of this place
to entities such as governments,
or travel across continents
recedes into the proximity
of small rivers and bright
shining feathers
