I just read a downright frightening
article on Wired News,
about a proposed requirement that schools which receive federal funding use 'net filtering
software. This is pretty obviously an attempt to circumvent the ruling against the CDA. After
all, who's going to object to "protecting our children"?
The truth is, everything I've seen leads me to believe that this kind of legislation would do far more to needlessly restrict students than protect them.
